Video and Track Review : Selmor Mtukudzi - Zvidikidiki
Selmor Mtukudzi has released a brand new video. Her last video Nguva Yangu was hugely successful, it was heavily played on TV and the audio on the various radio stations. Being the daughter of Legendary musician Oliver "Tuku" Mtukudzi she will always be under a lot of scrutiny. However she seems to be doing quite well on her own regardless of the pressure.
Zvidikidiki is an uptempo track, it has some afro house elements. Selmor was a pure afrojazz artist but since the success of the Nguva Yangu MacDee House remix, she seems to be switching to similar kind of tracks. We not complaining though, the new sound is sounding very very good. If she only concentrates on afrojazz, moving out of her fathers shadow will prove an impossible feat, but with such kinds of music she can easily carve her own path and legacy.
On Zvidikidiki (The small things), Selmor is emphasizing the importance of the small things in love. Its not all about the expensive holidays and presents but most of the times the small stuff like, a simple message, holdings ones hand, whispering in his/her ear...etc that makes one go crazy. loving this jam......super track.
The video is fun. lively and just great to watch. Selmor has a good eye when it comes to videos. she manages to make her videos interesting to watch without showing explicit stuffs like most videos these days. She also is a lively person, and that makes watching her on the videos more fulfilling. Love the dances in the video, and the whole video in general.
This track will be quite a hit track, just like Nguva Yangu. loving the new sound and keep up releasing these great videos.
