Track Review: Jah Prayzah feat Charma Girl - Usimbe

Superstar Jah Prayzah is on a roll, everything he touches is a hit. This year is a year of collaborations for the superstar, he has two songs with South Africa Iconic group Mafikizolo, he is working with house producer Dj Ganyani, he is also working on a song with African Megastar Davido, the list goes on and on. He surely wants to dominate the African music scene and he is well on that path already. Whilst many are still getting up to speed with Sendekera  (a  track which failed to excite me)  he has released another track featuring Charma Girl whom he worked a couple of years back on   Dali Wangu . The track was produced at his Milliatry Touch Movement studio probably by resident producer Humphrey with some help from Dj Tamuka. The instrumental is sounding good and it's a blend of afro beat and Jah's traditional sound. On tracks like Watora Mari or Sendekera the instrumentals were too modern/mainstream with no Jah elements in them but on this track they did their ho

Track Review: Dj Towers feat Trevor D, Kevin Munetsi, Mile & Sway Th3rd - Vaudze.

DJ Towers is proving to a force to reckon with in the production department. He also is quite good at selecting artists for collaborations, as evidenced by the success of tracks such as Bhoo and MaBlessers . On this track he switched things up a bit, he left his usual rap lineup for a more soulful lineup and that got me interested in the track. Have now managed to listen to the track a couple of times and I'm ready to share my views and thoughts on the track. DJ Towers was in charge of the productions and he did a good job. The instrumental is a fusion between hip hop and RnB and it's sounding good. Towers is not know for his keyboard skills but on this track he did quite well, was impressed. The overall production is done well, good job by DJ Towers. When you find that awesome partner whom you want to be with forever, you want the whole world to know that they are yours. You want all the guys to know that she is your lady and she makes you feel awesome. The track i

Track Review: Jam Signal - Sweet Addiction

Jam signal is pushing this lovely afro pop sound that is fused with some jazzy elements. Despite following a sort of standard afro pop template they love to add some saxophone to give the track a jazzy feel to it. Have been closely following these guys for some time now and its been exciting watching them develop as they experiment with their sound, they haven't really found their signature sound yet but the journey is interesting nonetheless. The last track they released was Chikopokopo featuring the Ma1 hitmaker Peekay, it's an okay track, am not that a big a fan of the track, I prefer their previous tracks such as Overrated , Stuck in My Head  more. They have released a new track and have given it a couple of listens so will now be sharing my views and thoughts about the track. The track was produced by C.O.G the guy who was behind nearly all of Takura's hit jams, Zino Irema , MaObama , Mungandidii . and he did a good job on the production. The instrumental is s
