Track Review : Brythreesixty & Lil Dizzie - Shay Baii

Brythreesixty is aiming for the continental market with his new offering. Quite ambitious and its working out pretty well for him. On this track he collaborated by Nigerian Rapper Lil Dizzie. The track was dubbed Zimbabwe meets Nigeria. We've been witnessing many collaborations between Zim artists and foreign artists, some of them were major flops (Simba Tagz ft Ice Prince - Don't Leave Remix), and some performed well (Calvin ft Casper Nyovest - Zkhuphane Remix). How does Shai Bali fare??????


The track was produced by Mclean, I believe he is the producer who made Myke Pimp's Harare Hairarwe Track (Read Review Here). The beat is on point although heavily borrowing from Lil Keshi's Shoki Remix. Its sounding very good and its a kind of beat that if dropped at a party people will go wild.

Lil Dizzie delivered a good verse, l don't hear Igbo (am not even 100% sure if its the language he used) however he was in sync with the beat so ya will give him props for that. Brythreeesixty went in hard, he delivered a great verse. Bry raised his game, he knew this song was not only gonna be played in Zim, so ya he rose to the occasion despite Lil Dizzie not being that big in Nigeria, Bry took no chances. Don't know if Shay Baii means Tambai or not??? will need to clarify that with Brythreesixty.

In overall this is a great song, as a proud Zimbo am not ashamed that people around the continent are listening to this jam. Zimbos are hard to please so how this song is received by the masses uhhhm that is left to be seen, but l believe it will perform pretty well.

Mixtape Review : Brythreesixty - Purple Mars

Brythreesixty has finally released his much publicized Purple Mars Mixtape. 2016 is more like a do or die year for him. He has to show if he can compete with the best and in a year dubbed by many as the Year of Zim Hip Hop he is gonna have to put in more work than before. So how does Purple Mars fare?? God Feeling ( Sikelela ) ft J.S.K.X.X.V.I The first thing you hear is the nice laid instrumental which am loving. God Feeling is about feeling like a boss regardless of the current challenges and putting your trust in God. Success starts from within and this track is about having a winner's mentality.
