Track Review : Q Rigga - Big Tings On EM

Lloyd "Q Rigga" Ngwenya is a Kwekwe based hip hop rap artist. He has been in the music game for more than 10yrs now...waaaaaaaat!!!. Most Zimbos may not know much about him because he hasn't yet managed to breakout into the mainstream platform. Is Big Tings On Em the track that will make deliver the break????


Q Rigga collaborated with popular producer Joshua "Jae Mac" Makoni. Jae Mac rose to fame with his hit track Elevated which topped the hip hop charts some time back. On this track they went for a reggae/dancehall influenced hip hop instrumental. The end result sounds very good. Jae Mac proves he still got it, applause to you on the production.

Q Rigga himself did not disappoint, delivering some nice verses and in the process creating a catchy party tune. This is just in time for summer, expect to hear it sounding from several stereos this summer. This track will get Q Rigga the needed radio airplay and attention. It may not be a massive hit but its a great start by Q Rigga. Hope he wont be classified as a dancehall artist instead of a hip hop artist.......that will not be good for him, dancehall is heavily competitive at the moment and ruthless.

Mixtape Review : Brythreesixty - Purple Mars

Brythreesixty has finally released his much publicized Purple Mars Mixtape. 2016 is more like a do or die year for him. He has to show if he can compete with the best and in a year dubbed by many as the Year of Zim Hip Hop he is gonna have to put in more work than before. So how does Purple Mars fare?? Will be reviewing my top 4 tracks from the Purple Mars Mixtape and will leave  the others for you the fans and readers to rate!! God Feeling ( Sikelela ) ft J.S.K.X.X.V.I The first thing you hear is the nice laid instrumental which am loving. God Feeling is about feeling like a boss regardless of the current challenges and putting your trust in God. Success starts from within and this track is about having a winner's mentality. In terms of the verses both the guys were in beast mode and they gave superb verses.
