Willom Tight ft Runtown & Uhuru - M.O.N.E.Y

Willom Tight dominated the early 2000's with his timeless hits Ndinoda Wangu and Ndiri Pano (ft Mateo). After that he took a very long sabbatical break which ended in 2014 with the release of Ndewangu featuring SA artist Speedy, the track was received well and got its fair share of airplay. It was a different Willom Tight than the one many Zimbo's  had in memory but well change is part of life, its inevitable. Since the release of Ndewangu in 2014, Willom started promoting his upcoming album Africa Paradox which will feature various African artists like Uhuru, Salif Keita...etc. Willom is aiming at continental domination with this album as evidenced by the lineup he spent the whole 2015 teasing us with. Hopefully the Album drops this year.

M.O.N.E.Y was produced by South African celebrated house group Uhuru. One can easily hear the Uhuru trademark sound. Despite Uhuru being on the low these days the instrumental is great, and overall production is high standard.

The video is also standard. It can fit perfectly well among the many top afro beat/house videos that are dominating Channel O, Trace and MTV Base TV channels. The comic book effect is a good addition, its makes the video a bit unique compared to other videos.

The title of the track well explains its theme. Its about money, money and money. As I stated in other earlier house music reviews, its not about good vocals, the vocals are there to compliment the beat and make the song easy for fans to sing along whilst they get down. The vocals on this track managed to blend with the beat in a great way as expected.

In overall M.O.N.E.Y is sounding great and will be a favourite of many. Personally I believe it was going to be a much bigger jam if it had come out when Uhuru was still on top of the continental house circles, however that will not stop it from getting airplay. Its gonna take some Zimbos time to adjust to the new Willom though. Will be looking forward from the other singles from Willom Tight and am already counting down to African Paradox.

What are you thoughts on the track and Video???
