Track Review : Tageezy ft Trevor & Stunner - Ndaiti Uri Wangu

Tafgeezy is an afro pop/ dancehall/rapper from the City of Progress Gweru. A former Midlands State University student. He is working to make a name for himself in the local music scene. He has a couple of track to his name, but still searching for that break. On this track he featured the King of RnB Trevor Dongo and Tazoita Cash Boss Stunner. With such a star studded lineup how does the Ndaiti Uri Wangu fare??

The track was produced by T-Man at Mount Zion Music. T-Man has quite a long list of hits and this instrumental is up there with some of the best. It's Hip Hop fused with some dancehall elements, made in a fashion which is reminiscent of the Urban Grooves Movement days. What l love about this kind of Hip Hop is that it maintains the identity of Zim Music, many Zimbos relate to such instrumentals compared to those imitating American Hip Hop. It will do a whole lot of good for the whole industry if we push for our own Hip Hop sound, take for example how successful Nigerian, Latino or Zambian Hip hop is despite being  different from American hip hop.

The track is about a person who you though was your friend, but was just trying to find a way to take your girl. This is a common occurrence these days, friends getting close to you in order to be in good books with your lady. Intentions are never fully known, its just a matter of believing in the goodwill of others and giving them the benefit of doubt.

Trevor D as expected was soothing us on the chorus. He is proven, and this track is further testament to his amazing vocal abilities and why he is the best in the game. He owned the track. Tafgeezy was in charge of the first verse and he did well. For someone trying to make his break in the game he gave a great perfomance...although for most parts he sounds like YOZ. Stunner had the last verse and he gave his signature style, not his best verse but it was okay. In overall this is a solid track. good work by the guys.

This is a good offering from Tafgeezy, but he will have to work more if he is make a name for himself in the music industry. Will be looking forward to more tracks from him.
