Track Review: Kunle Ayo ft Oliver Mtukudzi - Ile (Home)

When two great meet for a collaboration we all anxiously wait to be blown away. Kunle Ayo a Multi Award Winning Nigerian Jazz guitarist based in South Africa collaborated with our own Multi Award Winning Legendary artist Oliver "Tuku" Mtukudzi for this afro jazz track. How good is the track ??

Afro Jazz music by nature must be soothing and relaxing, this track definitely has those qualities. Kunle Ayo  shows his amazing guitar work on this track, in between the singing one will hear that soothing acoustic guitar. The whole track is laced with some great guitar work but for those who looking for the sweetest parts listen from, 1:43 to 1:50 and 3:42 to 3:58. In overall the instrumental is well made and sounds awesome.

The track as written on Kunle's profile
"talks to the importance of home and that feeling of comfort and safety of being at home.
Ile inspires a longing for the familiarity of home, regardless of how close or far it is".

In terms of the singing the two artists brought their own signature styles to the track. The Yoruba and Shona blend works pretty good. Lovely Song.

The song will probably not be a massive hit like many other Afro Jazz songs but it definitely gonna outlive all of the pop hits currently topping the charts right now. A great song for that Sunday after church Braai/drive or that chilled afternoon.
