Good Music Ep 1 : Prudence Katomeni Mbofana.

What is good music??? the definition is subjective and we'll end up fighting trying to find a universal definition. To me good music is music that invokes feelings from within, music which a person can listen to for years and years and never gets boring. Good music is that kind of music which you never delete from your playlist regardless of the fact that you don't even play/listen to it as much as others. In my phone such songs which l never delete are : Alexio Kawara - Chihwandehwande, Afrika Revenge - Memo & Buwe Buwe, Jabhu Khanyile - Umkaya Lo, Oliver Mtukudzi - Muchatuta & Chara Chimwe, Thomas Mapfumo - Chamunorwa & Kwatinosienda, Prudence Katomeni - Susan, Chiwoniso - Ancient Voices, Simon Chimbetu - Kumagobo & Chauta..etc when loading a new gadget these are the first tracks l load.  We all have such songs in our playlists.

This post is for those who are still searching for some good songs that shall not depart from their playlist.
"Thy songs shall never depart from my playlist no-mater which gadget l listen from"

Mrs Prudence Katomeni Mbofana is a perfect artist to start  for such a collection. She is blessed with an amazing voice, who here in Zimbabwe can forget the song BP. Most people say Jazz is for the rich and sophisticated and not for the ordinary person but when Prudence voiced over BP all that was forgotten as everyone sang along  and danced to the classic track. She did justice to that Jazz Invitation song. Beautiful, Just Beautiful.

Prudence can easily be the most talented vocalist in Zim, she is that Good.

Besides the beautiful voice, she is also an awesome songwriter. Her tracks are simple but on point. Most artists try to wow the listeners by writing over the top lyrics, lyrics where one would need a dictionary to understand  but prudence keeps it simple, lyrics one can easily understand and relate to.

My favourite track from Mrs Mbofana-Katomeni is Susan. Its makes me nostalgic and keeps me at my feet every time. Fantastic song. Susan is a modern rendition of an old song we used to sing when we were young, kumahumbwe....

The only complaint l have is that her songs are too few. We need more songs Prudence.
You can buy her last album titled Prudence on iTunes.
