Track Review : Cal_Vin - King

Cal_Vin is on a roll, he is really on top of his game at the moment. He released his Askies EP earlier this month and will be releasing his much anticipated album on the 26th of this month. He has definitely created a lot of hype for his Year Of The Vin album and if he delivers as he is promising, he will definitely become a modern Icon for Bulawayo music. Am still enjoying the Askies Ep and he has released a new track wow (he is matching Zim dancehall artists in releasing tracks), I can bet he is sleeping in the studio these days. He teamed up with fellow producer Kronik for this new track, and how does it fare???

Kronik & Cal_Vin have a great chemistry when it comes to beat production!! the instrumental is fire. Its very good, for those who thought the Bona instrumental was a fluke this will put all doubts to rest, hope they worked together again on the album. Kronik is definitely making a name for himself and uplifting Bulawayo at the same time. The production of this track is just Superb.

This track is basically Cal_Vin declaring that he is the Hip Hop King!! Bold assertion. This is a challenge to other hip hop artists to rise, he pushed the same message on the track I Got Now which is on the Askies Ep. Love the Long Live The King chorus. Dope


This is a solid track and personally I prefer it more to Bona.

Mixtape Review : Brythreesixty - Purple Mars

Brythreesixty has finally released his much publicized Purple Mars Mixtape. 2016 is more like a do or die year for him. He has to show if he can compete with the best and in a year dubbed by many as the Year of Zim Hip Hop he is gonna have to put in more work than before. So how does Purple Mars fare?? Will be reviewing my top 4 tracks from the Purple Mars Mixtape and will leave  the others for you the fans and readers to rate!! God Feeling ( Sikelela ) ft J.S.K.X.X.V.I The first thing you hear is the nice laid instrumental which am loving. God Feeling is about feeling like a boss regardless of the current challenges and putting your trust in God. Success starts from within and this track is about having a winner's mentality. In terms of the verses both the guys were in beast mode and they gave superb verses.
