Proud Zimbos Top 5 Tracks of August

The month of august is done and dusted meaning its time for my top 5 tracks of the month. Last month the top track was Orlando by Jam Signal.

For the month of august I managed to do a review of 10 tracks namely: Dereck Mpofu & Cynthia Mare - Dzoka Kumba, Tehn Diamond - Lead The Way, Trevor Dongo - Shoko Rerudo, Afrodizzay ft Simba Tagz - Party Start Now, Toga ft Chioneso - Eddymore, Gary Tight and Willom Tight - Tight Tune, Nutty O - I Will Never, Kunta Family (Tony Fresh, Slizzy Aj & Chiphsip) - Kare Haagare Ari Kare, Jah Prayzah ft Diamond Platnumz - Watora Mari & Tehn Diamond - 2062.


Special Mention goes to Jah Prayzah ft Diamond Platnumz - Watora Mari which has managed to reach 1 million views in less than 3 weeks, a record for local music. The track has however failed to enter the top 5.


The top 5 goes as follows:

5. Gary Tight ft Willom Tight - Tight Tune
Gary Tight is everywhere right now, afro jazz, traditional, now afro beat. He however did a great job here. Did not enjoy this track much when it came out but I warmed up to it and am loving it now. Its made for the party and everything about this is to make you dance. nice jam.



4. Nutty O - I Will Never Ever
This track speaks to me. Lovely instrumental and a great vocal performance from Nutty. The theme of the track is on point.



3. Tehn Diamond - Lead The Way
Tehn gave a superb perfomance here. A superb love track on top of an awesome instrumental. Solid jam.


2. Toga ft Chioneso - Eddymore
This is a true and comical description of whatshappening in some house all over the nation. Personally have witnessed such a drama in action. On top of the socially conscious theme, the track has a lovely instrumental.


This track is just awesome. The vocal performances are on point, the theme is on point, the instrumental is on point. This track vividly expresses the emotions one goes through when they are missing their other half.

Mixtape Review : Brythreesixty - Purple Mars

Brythreesixty has finally released his much publicized Purple Mars Mixtape. 2016 is more like a do or die year for him. He has to show if he can compete with the best and in a year dubbed by many as the Year of Zim Hip Hop he is gonna have to put in more work than before. So how does Purple Mars fare?? Will be reviewing my top 4 tracks from the Purple Mars Mixtape and will leave  the others for you the fans and readers to rate!! God Feeling ( Sikelela ) ft J.S.K.X.X.V.I The first thing you hear is the nice laid instrumental which am loving. God Feeling is about feeling like a boss regardless of the current challenges and putting your trust in God. Success starts from within and this track is about having a winner's mentality. In terms of the verses both the guys were in beast mode and they gave superb verses.
