Video & Track Review: Prayersoul - Completely

Mr Prayersoul finally opened his 2016 account with the track Completely. He released this track a couple of months back and during the time it has been out, the track has managed to enter the charts on the various urban radio stations. Prayersoul is one of the best if not the best neo-soul artist in the country, loved his debut self titled album Prayersoul. Since then have been a big fan of the guy and he has over time proven to be a quite a gem, great vocalist, great performer and a polished brand image that can match the best out there. He has now released the visuals of his latest track Completely courtesy of African Fire Jewelry, the same guys who are behind Bryan Kadengu's Heavy Machine visuals. So I immediately jumped to YouTube to see what Mr Prayersoul has made for us.

The track is sounding very good, the guitar work is sublime. The instrumental arrangement is done very well. Overall production of the track is also done very well, the vocals and instrumental complement each other perfectly. I love it when a track is not congested with instruments, a clean sound is always good and makes the listener enjoy more.

Completely is a great love jam. Prayersoul is saying he is gonna love his partner completely, she makes him feel complete so he is gonna give her all of him and love her completely. A relationship is fulfilling when both parties are all in. Beautiful.

Prayersoul gave a very strong vocal performance, he was passionate and clearly audible. The backing vocalists were also on par. Its easy to comprehend and sing along to.

For such a song, well basically for all afro soul & neo-soul tracks there is no need for complicated visuals, the tracks are simple and straight to the point and the visuals have to follow suit. The visuals here do just that. Its about two people they concentrated on that, even without the vocals one can clearly understand what the track is about and the people of interest in the video. The quality is standard, shot angles are good, the directing in overall is done very well.

In overall this is solid track and the visuals are lovely. African Fire Jewelry are proving to be quite a force at making videos, Heavy Machine, then this one. Hopefully we get another Prayersoul album soon because seriously who wouldn't want more jams like this.

What are your thoughts on the track??
