Track Review: ExQ ft Roki & Takura - Kiloz

This track was released as part of  Kenako Hybrid The Compilation package, a couple of weeks back. The compilation contained a number of tracks but this track caught my attention and decided to do a review of the track.  ExQ featured his partner in crime Roki and the high flying rapper Takura on this one. Lets see how it fares??

The track was produced by DJ Tamuka and he did a commendable job. The instrumental borrows heavily from AKA's All Eyes On Me (which heavy sampled Brenda Fassie's Ngiyakusaba) and Baddest. The synth progression is taken from All Eyes On Me and the kick pattern is taken from Baddest. Sampling is the in thing right now and when done well its not really a bad thing !!, on this track Dj Tamuka did a good job. The overall production of the track is done very well.

Killoz is an intimate love jam, ExQ is saying he misses and is craving for his other half so when they meet later in the day he is promising that they gonna lose some Killoz whilst making out. This is a situation a lot of us have been in, whereby we are far from our loved one because of work or some other stuff and we just craving for their touch. We start planning for the day or time we'll finally meet up, making out till dawn or till we lose a few Killoz like what ExQ and crew state on this track.

The artists gave superb performances. ExQ was very good on his verses, he has always been good when it comes to singing about love and he nailed it again on this track. Roki smoothed out the track with his superb vocals, he did a great job on the chorus. Takura also did a commendable job on his verse. They structured their vocals in a feel good catchy way, which makes it easy to sing along top the track.

In overall this is a very good track. The instrumental is sounding nice regardless of the fact that your know you have heard it a lot of times. The vocal performances are on point. Its a track that you can bump to, and ya send to your partner as a tease of whats to come later in the day. Lovely jam.

What are your thoughts on the track??
