Track Review: Nesto ft Taurai Mandebvu - BidiBiba

Everyone has that one not so super popular artist that they love to bits, you follow their every track and move. For me Nesto is such an artist. He has this superb flavour and style that no other artists in Zim possesses. The way he sings, his choice of words are only unique to him and his instrumentals are also on point. The last track he released, Ngala Ngala was a favourite of mine, I played the track countless times and still love it to this day. Now when I heard he released a new jam I was on it immediately. Listened to it a lot of times and thought of sharing the track with my fellow Zimbos.


The track was produced at Kenako Studios by Dj Tamuka. I have to say Dj Tamuka is the best at making Afro Beats in the country, all the best afro beat tracks are a product of his magic hands. On this track he was on point in terms of  production. I'm loving the instrumental, its sounding very good. There is some lovely keyboard work and the bass line is on point. The marimba sounding percussions were a good touch. In overall the track is produced very well, the vocals are balanced.  

BidiBiba is about dancing and having blast. Dancing like there is no tomorrow. Its a track made for the party and it does just that.

The two guys blended very well and both gave great performances. Nesto was awesome on the verses. His chants and choice of words were just on point and comical as usual. Taurai Mandebvu was brilliant on the chorus. He is one the most underrated vocalists on the local scene, he can deliver some awesome vocals that can match up any of the top guys. Great combination.



In overall this is a solid track. Love the instrumental and enjoyed vocal performances. Listened to it a lot over the weekend and it's definitely added to my party playlist.

Mixtape Review : Brythreesixty - Purple Mars

Brythreesixty has finally released his much publicized Purple Mars Mixtape. 2016 is more like a do or die year for him. He has to show if he can compete with the best and in a year dubbed by many as the Year of Zim Hip Hop he is gonna have to put in more work than before. So how does Purple Mars fare?? God Feeling ( Sikelela ) ft J.S.K.X.X.V.I The first thing you hear is the nice laid instrumental which am loving.
