Video and Track Review : Noble Stylz ft Quonfuzed - Kusvika Rinyure

Kusvika Rinyure is the lead single from Noble Stylz's Masofa Panze 3. The track is getting a lot of love from Zimbabwe evidenced by the song reaching the number 1 spot on Power Fm's daily top ten. Noble Stylz's announced his arrival onto the music scene with  the critically acclaimed Masofa Panze 1 which made him a powerhouse in Zim Rap circles, Noble showcased his amazing talent and intricate wordplay which endeared him to many Hip Hop fans. Masofa Panze 2 has some good tracks but in overall it faltered when compared to Masofa Panze 1. This year he is hoping to gain lost ground with Masofa Panze 3, whether he manages to do so or not will be seen in time. So how good is Kusvika Rinyure  song and video???

The track was produced by Sheltang at Sunshine Studios. The instrumental is on an acoustic and soulful tip, the beat is mellow and chilled as expected from the genres adopted. Love the guitar work, it accentuates the soulful part of the track. For a dancehall producer making such a different genre always poses a challenge but Sheltang mastered it flawlessly. The track in overall is well mixed and mastered, the vocals are clearly audible and the way they complement each other with the instrumental is awesome. Great work by Sheltang.

The song is about a guy pursuing a girl who does not share the same feelings as the guy. The girl turned down the guys proposal but the guys keeps coming back hoping to win the lady but is met with the same response. Its a song about hope and perseverance, sango rinopa waneta as a Shona proverb says. The guy is assuring the lady that his love is real and they are meant to be together.

Quonfuzed was in charge of the hook and he is absolutely amazing, his voice perfectly fits the instrumental. Noble Stylz was in charge of the verses and he showed us why we fell in love with him in the first place. Clearly audible verses with some great wordplay. On top of the singing and rapping one can hear the pain the guy is experiencing through the lyrics and singing. The two lads outdid themselves. Applause to them.

The video was directed by Simba Gee. The quality and setting is on point. The video complements the song well....l love it. The directing is classy and on point....one can easily follow the story line and in the process you can't help but enjoy the video. Clearly one of the best videos of the year...

Mixtape Review : Brythreesixty - Purple Mars

Brythreesixty has finally released his much publicized Purple Mars Mixtape. 2016 is more like a do or die year for him. He has to show if he can compete with the best and in a year dubbed by many as the Year of Zim Hip Hop he is gonna have to put in more work than before. So how does Purple Mars fare?? God Feeling ( Sikelela ) ft J.S.K.X.X.V.I The first thing you hear is the nice laid instrumental which am loving.
