Chashe - Like Fire

Chashe is a London Based Zimbabwean Musician/Songwriter. She released her debut album Dhi about 3 years ago, the title track 'Dhi'  was received very well. It received quite a lot of airplay on the local radio stations and managed to enter into some music charts. The album introduced her to the mainstream music circles and also to the Zimbabwean people.

The song  Zvekupenga which featured Tinashe Makura was a major hit, with some coining it the ultimate new generation wedding song. I'm also a big fan of the song, has been in my playlist since it came out. 

Currently Chashe is working on a new album which according to her site (chashemusic.com), is nearly ready to be released. She has released this awesome feel good song. Well all her songs have that feel good element. The production is different (soft rock/country feel) to that which we are used to locally which is good for our ears and also for the development of Zim Music. 

The song is about love, that undeniable spark that is there between two people in love. Somehow this song makes me think about Wildfire by Tariro NeGitare, the message is somehow alike and ooohh the 'fire' in the title names.

Mixtape Review : Brythreesixty - Purple Mars

Brythreesixty has finally released his much publicized Purple Mars Mixtape. 2016 is more like a do or die year for him. He has to show if he can compete with the best and in a year dubbed by many as the Year of Zim Hip Hop he is gonna have to put in more work than before. So how does Purple Mars fare?? Will be reviewing my top 4 tracks from the Purple Mars Mixtape and will leave  the others for you the fans and readers to rate!! God Feeling ( Sikelela ) ft J.S.K.X.X.V.I The first thing you hear is the nice laid instrumental which am loving. God Feeling is about feeling like a boss regardless of the current challenges and putting your trust in God. Success starts from within and this track is about having a winner's mentality. In terms of the verses both the guys were in beast mode and they gave superb verses.
