Many local tracks have been released from the beginning of the year to now. Love songs constitute the highest percentage among all the songs that have been released but which ones can we say are above the rest???? Which ones can you dedicate to your loved one?? Maybe you looking for a wedding song?? or you want a song to sing for them, and wondering which songs you can sing??


These are the 5 best Love songs produced by Zimbos from the 1st of Jan to 30th of June. They are in no specific order, it gave me a headache trying to chose which is better than the other, will leave that to you.

  • Exq ft Nesto & Roki - Pore Pore

Been a fan of this song since Jan and it still serenades me and hits the right spots just like it did when it was released.  Roki killed the Chorus, Ezq and Nesto delivered the perfect Verses...chilled and awesome. The beat is on point, the whole production is on point. Brilliant Song.


  • Courtney Antipas ft Prayersoul - Forever Girl

This song, has all the what a girl wants to hear from her partner. This was the valentines song for 2015. Courtney Antipas rapped his way into many ladies hearts with this one. Prayersoul did justice to the Chorus, am a big fan of Mr Soul and this song made me an even bigger fan. Also loved the instrumental on this song. The song is just flawless and timeless.



  • Soul Afrika ft Tererai - Pauri 

The two brothers Takunda and Takura have made 2015 their year of Dominance, everything they touch is turning into a hit. Of the many love songs they have released this year, Pauri is on top. This song neither topped the charts or get insane levels of airplay like the others but Zimbos still love it as much as they did 3 months back and that's a sign of a classic song. Other songs peaked and dropped in demand but Pauri has maintained. Produced by Legendary Producer MacDee...What a Lovely Lovely Lovely song.



  • Vito ft Mob X - Iwewe

Did not know about Vito till I heard this song on radio, from that moment till this current day no love has been lost for the track. Most Zimbos know him from the Maskiri track Rorenzi which he featured alongside Gze. The guitar work at the intro of this song is heavenly. The song is about appreciating your other half, loving them, and never wanting to be away from them. Lovely song.


  • Chashe - Like Fire

Chashe blessed us with Zvekupenga last year and this year she continued serenading Zimbo all over the world. This song is about that chemical explosion/ the butterflies you feel when you see your love. That uncontainable feeling you get every-time your other half is besides you. The song is a celebration of love. What a powerful and amazing song.

Mixtape Review : Brythreesixty - Purple Mars

Brythreesixty has finally released his much publicized Purple Mars Mixtape. 2016 is more like a do or die year for him. He has to show if he can compete with the best and in a year dubbed by many as the Year of Zim Hip Hop he is gonna have to put in more work than before. So how does Purple Mars fare?? Will be reviewing my top 4 tracks from the Purple Mars Mixtape and will leave  the others for you the fans and readers to rate!! God Feeling ( Sikelela ) ft J.S.K.X.X.V.I The first thing you hear is the nice laid instrumental which am loving. God Feeling is about feeling like a boss regardless of the current challenges and putting your trust in God. Success starts from within and this track is about having a winner's mentality.
