Track Review : Bryan K - Forever

Bryan K is going through a sound revolution, he has evolved from his initial afro soul sound to a more modern sound. Was greatly impressed by his debut 2015 Afro Jazz/Soul offering, Nyaya Dzerudo (Nyaya Dzerudo Album Review). Last year he introduced himself to the majority of Zimbos with the house jam Heavy Machine and as the year was drawing to a close he featured on Mr Kamera slow tempo afro beat jam Pamusika, which this year got a remix featuring African stars Ice Price and Gemini Major. Bryan K has now dropped a new single and today will be sharing my views and thoughts on the new track.

The track was produced by Nigerian Producer Ckay and he did a very good job. The instrumental has a lovely slow dance feel to it, which makes it a perfect song for couples, it would really fit well on a wedding. When the visuals drop a wedding setting would perfectly fit this song...(thank me later for the idea). The instrumental is on a soulful afro pop tip, it's arranged very well and its sounding good. One fear of mine was that Bryan was gonna starve us of some good guitar work when he left Afro Soul/Jazz sound but it seems that will not be the case, this song has some lovely and sensual guitar work which complements the theme and mood seamlessly. Great work on the production.

This track is a promise by Bryan that he will love his lady forever. He is declaring and confessing his never-ending love and commitment to his lady. He is pledging to always bring her happiness and joy. Uhmm its quite a serious and daring promise.

Bryan K delivered a solid performance on the vocals, he arranged the vocals well, he showed good vocal dynamism and he sang with emotion and he complemented the instrumental very well.

In overall this is very lovely jam. It's well produced, well written and well sung. Like I mentioned before that this will make a perfect wedding song so I see many Zimbo ladies loving and singing along to this track. Was afraid the track was going to be a generic afro pop track like many out there but they added some soul to it and that gave it a differentiating vibe. Lastly although Bryan K has changed genres, this is a song that I see blending well on a live performances among his other tracks like Matida, Marunjeya, Usasiyane Neni, Beautiful You Are...

What are your thoughts on the track???
