Track Review: Ulethu & Skaiva - Another Chance

House music is slowly making its strides to the top of local music scene and one of the guys pushing the sound forward is Bulawayo based Skaiva. On this track he collaborated with rising songbird Ulethu who gave us the track Huya last year. Personally i'm a big fan of house music, it is my go to party music so when I heard that one of Zim's finest producers has collaborated with one fast rising songbird I immediately got to listening. Unfortunately the song came out when I was on holiday so could not post my review then but now am back and its time to share my views and thought on the track.


Skaiva was in charge of the production here and he did a fabulous job, Love the way he arranged the instrumental, it can stand its own against the best from mzansi. Skaiva is one of my favourite local house producers and on this jam he just showed that he may as well be the best in the country. Love the rise from 2:50 -3:20, its superb. The track ended abruptly and I feel they could have gave done better on that part. However overall production is standard. Great work by Skaiva.

Another chance as the name implies is for that moment when you ask for another chance from your partner. We all have been in such a situation. Ulethu was very good on the vocals, she already proved how powerful her vocals are on Huya and here she proved  that she may probably be the best vocalist , when it comes to house music in the country. She managed to complement the lovely instrumental very well. Solid.


In overall this is a very nice jam, I can dance to this any day. The combination from the two seems to work very well, hope they give us more jams this year or EP. ya an EP would do from the two. Definitely recommend the track.

Mixtape Review : Brythreesixty - Purple Mars

Brythreesixty has finally released his much publicized Purple Mars Mixtape. 2016 is more like a do or die year for him. He has to show if he can compete with the best and in a year dubbed by many as the Year of Zim Hip Hop he is gonna have to put in more work than before. So how does Purple Mars fare?? God Feeling ( Sikelela ) ft J.S.K.X.X.V.I The first thing you hear is the nice laid instrumental which am loving.
