Proud Zimbo Recommends : @KevinMunetsi & @RyanKoriya

One of the primary goals of this blog is introducing those less known artists to the majority of Zimbabwe. Some may be new upcoming artists, some may be already established but due to location and genre they are not that much known. So its a passion of mine to introduce such an artist to at least one or two other Zimbos who had no idea the artists existed.

With that in mind will be writing a lot of articles introducing less known artists to you as I discover or stumble upon them. Will be giving you at least a minimum of two and max of five artists per article. Lets explore the local music scene together and help widen our listener base.
Today will be introducing you to two artists.

Kevin is an upcoming RnB Soul artist based in Chitungwiza. Got to know about him a couple of days back and did a review of his latest track Love 101 (Love 101 Track Review).  The lad has a lot of soul in his music, his vocal ability is quite on point and can match up to the other established RnB, Soul artists. His songwriting skills are also superb, the tracks really hit the right spots. Would love to see him working with artists such as Prayersoul, Bryan Kadengu, Tehn Diamond...etc I believe they would make great collaborations and also will help him get the much deserved exposure.

Below are two of my favourite tracks from Kevin:

My other favourite from Kevin:

Ryan is extremely talented pop (or passion pop as he says himself), singer and songwriter from the Tourist town of Vic Falls. His location another major reason why he is not that know locally...our arts sector is so flawed to the extent that if you're not from Harare or if you do conduct a lot of performances in Harare the chances of you getting acquainted with Zimbos are very very very low. However despite being largely unknown he already has cult following and has been performing on a lot of festival all over the world and raising the Zim flag high.

Its a matter of time or relocation (like what Mokoomba did) before a lot of Zimbos get exposed and hooked to his music.Ryan's Music will sound foreign to many Zimbos but well when you perform all over the world alongside many various artists, you adopt several attributes and sounds which you'll incorporate into your sound.  Regardless of that you cannot take away the talent and craftsmanship that oozes from his music. Would love him to work with artists such as Zyon Black & Hope Masike, I believe they would make interesting collaborations.

Below is the visuals to his latest track: Drowning In Space.

Here is another favourite of mine from Ryan:

So ya these are the two artist I'm introducing to you maZimbo today. Give yourself time to check them out, you'll thank me later.

If there are other artists you believe need to announced to Zimbos, comment with the link to their tracks.
