Eletronic Music: Deep House DJ's,Mixes and Songs in Zimbabwe

Zimbabwe is a dancehall dominated country. Dancehall has become much more than just a genre but its now the most popular culture in Zimbabwe, every corner of the country you visit one will hear Zim Dancehall songs being played. Personally am a big house fan, Deep House to be exact, and this pains me that my favourite type of music is being pushed away and well its hard to find a club that plays Deep House. 

House DJ's and producers in Zim find it hard to get enough attention and airplay on radio . Deep Deep house is more of underground and its producers and DJ's are largely unknown and less spoken about in the media. Many people are more concerned with commercial house, the likes of DJ Stavo , Uhuru, Heavy K, DJ Bucks,  and less on Deep House & Tribal Dj's such as Black Coffee, Culoe De Song, Black Motion, Ralf Gum, Mobi Dixon, Reverb 7, Vinny Da Vinci...

Am happy that the Deep House Movement is making positive strides on top Urban Radio Stations. Shows such as Deep Fix from 23:00hrs - 00:00 hrs every Friday Night on ZiFm Stereo with T-Bass and The House Show every Friday  from 19:00 hrs - 21:00 hrs on Star Fm with Otis the Fraser are pushing the deep house sound to the nation.

Hope we get more shows dedicated to Deep House and Clubs too....We tired of Zim Dancehall every night.

To those who do not understand what deep house is or sound like,the mix below is for you. Well according to my definition that is. There are many definitions of deep house out there, trying to find the right one is impossible...you just have to settle for one and for me this set explains it.

Mixtape Review : Brythreesixty - Purple Mars

Brythreesixty has finally released his much publicized Purple Mars Mixtape. 2016 is more like a do or die year for him. He has to show if he can compete with the best and in a year dubbed by many as the Year of Zim Hip Hop he is gonna have to put in more work than before. So how does Purple Mars fare?? Will be reviewing my top 4 tracks from the Purple Mars Mixtape and will leave  the others for you the fans and readers to rate!! God Feeling ( Sikelela ) ft J.S.K.X.X.V.I The first thing you hear is the nice laid instrumental which am loving. God Feeling is about feeling like a boss regardless of the current challenges and putting your trust in God. Success starts from within and this track is about having a winner's mentality. In terms of the verses both the guys were in beast mode and they gave superb verses. Was enjoying the track till the last Nkosi Sikelela chant in the end, it sounded as if it's not at the same wave length as the rest of the track, better mixing
