Bryan K - Halftime With Bibo EP Review

Bryan K has definitely found his groove, he has fully embraced the soulfulness in his music. That move was more evident last year when he released the lovely Bibo Worldwide album, which I loved a lot.

Various tracks from Bibo Worldwide are still getting a lot of love to this day but despite that Bryan K has decided to hit us with some more soulful vibes. Was definitely waiting for this project, he was promising soulful jams and I'm all for that.

The EP has finally dropped and after some days listening to the album will today be sharing my views and thoughts on the project.

As usual will be doing a track by track review.

1. Don't Take It Away

Am not so sure about the first lines, their cringy, also the first lines after the first chorus are cringy. However despite those two lines this is quite a lovely jam, vocals are instrumentals are all arranged very well and complement each other well.

2. Huya

Bibo continues on this lovely afro soul tip, on this track he is praising his other half, saying there is noone as you, come to me and tell me all you want. Production is superbly done, love the acoustic nature of this track. Bryan K was solid on the vocals.

3. Come Over

Bibo is good when it comes to steamy foreplay tracks and this adds to that growing list. On the track Bibo is saying come over, I want you all and I'm gone give you pleasure. Production is again quite lovely.

4. Picture

On this track Bibo is missing his partner and is saying can I at least see your picture. She seems to be distant these days and his heart yearns for her. Production is again well done, vocals are also solid.

5. Best Behaviour

Bibo is saying you got me on my best behaviour. Production is solid, instrumental is well arranged. Bibo was again solid on the vocals

6. Interlude

The interlude is laced with some lovely guitar solo.

7. Hype

This is one lovely track, the vibe is on point. Production is superbly done, instrumental arrangement is well done. Am picking up some carribean vibes as I listen to the track. Bibo was also up to task on the vocals. My early favourite from the project.

So ya that's it for the Halftime With Bibo EP. This is like a good extension of the Bibo Worldwide album.

Production is done well throughout the project, arrangement of tracks is well done. Bibo has now settled well in this soulful afro vibe and I'm enjoying the results.

Themewise this is all about love, Bryan K is good at such themes and he nailed it. Vocally he was also solid throughout. However there are a couple of cringeworthy lines on the track Don't Take It Away, the first line of the track and the the first lines of the second verse, they make me cringe, the track in overall is quite lovely but can't seem to overlook those lines.

In conclusion this is good project from Bryan K, its not at the level of his last project Bibo Worldwide but its a good project in its own right. Bibo has finally fully embraced his soulful side and the results are clear for all to see. If you are a fan of Afro soul you will enjoy this project.

My overall Rating. 6.7
