Courtney Antipas (FKA ill Ceey) : Live Wise State Of Mind EP Vol 2

Gospel Rap has never gotten any better than this. The Live Wise State Of Mind EP Vol 2 just proves how blessing and entertaining gospel and good/clean music can be. The EP has 6 songs, will be personally reviewing each of the songs on the EP below:

  1. Intro (Reflections) :This intro is just as the name implies. He is reflecting on the world, how they chose lies over truth, how they chose the world over the gospel. Those who speak the truth have few friends, but he chose to speak the truth because there is nothing the world can do to him when he has God on his side. Great Intro.
  2. The Blood : On this song he sings about the Blood of Jesus Christ. He sings about its importance, how it saves us and cleanses us. Good song.
  3.  Forever Girl : On this classic song he features the soul master Mr Prayersoul. This song is one you dedicate or sing for you loved one. It has the perfect words, arrangement and feel that makes it a great love song. Awesome song, Classic.
  4. N.O.M.B : Here he sings despising why all the hit songs are always about Money Cars and Girls, with none singing about life. He addresses the fact that most rappers avoid singing about the meaningful stuff about life and chose to focus about the flashy type of lyrics that adds little to anyone's life. Love the instrumental and message on this song. Goes in hard, Great song.
  5. Where I'm Going : On this song he is asking the Lord for direction. He feels he is lost and needs to be shown the right way. One can quickly get carried away in this life, mostly if you are in the public eye, but its requires a person to assess his/her life to see if they are moving in the right way. Love he mellow nature of the beat, it fits perfectly with the lyrics of the song. The song is made for one to put focus on the words rather than the beat. Powerful song.
  6. Penga Tione : This song is there to strengthen those who are looked down upon for believing and upholding the word of the Lord. He encouraging them to enjoy and go crazy for their Lord  and ignore what others say about them.Love the song.

The EP is definitely one of the best produced in Zim so far in 2015.
