This is a list of the best rappers in Zimbabwe who rap in their mother language. The list is not in any order, and is as follows. Stunner  : TCR Boss. Regarded by many as the best vernacular rapper the country has to offer. He has a long list of hits to back that. Some of the Hits are: Hameno, Rudo Rwemari, Song Yangu, Godo, Team Hombe, Cross Country....etc.   His songs Team Hombe and Godo were voted song of the year in the year they were both released.Despite rapping mainly in Vernacular he is undoubtedly the biggest hip hop artist in Zimbabwe. Owner and leader of the Tazoita Cash Records label. Jnr Brown  : A product of Tazoita Cash Records, He is now regarded as the current best Shona rapper in Zimbabwe  mostly coz of the success of his songs Mariaa, Madrinks, Phil Chiyangwa..etc. Last year he was part of a hip hop group Few Kings  and their album The Feeling Aint Fair  won album of the year at the Zim Hip Hop Awards and their song Madrink...

Dat Luveve Boy dropped his own version of Bobby Shmurda's Hot Nigga. the young man has some dope bars. For those who dont know him he featured on Stunner track called Mababie Ekuno, and has several club bangers such as  Z'khupane  and my favourite  Bebengakholwa . P.O.Y has finally released the video for the hit song Sola Sola . The video quality is good bt the directing is awful as one dimensional, more effort was needed. Compared to other videos that came out this January ( Tambisa , Mushikashika & Skubhu ) this one fares badly. Gze gave us the ultimate driving anthem Yzia (Vroom Vroom)  , after that he  gave us another hit Zvakabhadara. He is one of the best and unique shona rappers in the country. This time he took an a different theme and focuses on the hustles of the daily ghetto life mainly focusing on the cab/kombi drivers around the city who are always on a cat & mouse chase around the cities with the city council authorities and police traffic officers He worked with Cuttybeats  on the song and video. This song was great from the day it came out but I didn't give it much attention till the video dropped this weekend. The video is dope, love the quality and the party feel it brings out. R&B in Zim This genre is still largely mistaken as urban grooves by many in the country. Rhythm and Blues is now a stand alone genre in Zimbabwe and has a lot of amazing songs that can melt anyone out there. RnB is about love and other intimate issues, it requires great vocal ability and mellow quality beats, this makes it a bit difficult to do and that's evident by the few artists in that genre. In Zimbabwe this genre is quite big and includes the following artists: Trevor Dongo  - Undoubtedly the King of RnB in Zimbabwe. This guy has an amazing voice and his songs are on point, coupled with the instrumental being made by Legendary Award Winning Producer MacDonald 'MacDee' Chidavaenzi. Their combination has produced a wide list of hits ( Nerunako, Tivanyadzise, Ndashamisika, Musikana Wangu, Ndawana Zano, African Girl, Nemoyo...etc ).
