Track Review: Verseless ft Thandie Lin - Breakfast (Flow Into The Music)

Verseless is working overtime giving us some of the best music on the local front right now. The Zim music sphere is expanding and thanks to guys such as Verseless & Zyon Black..etc for pushing the boundaries and offering a new sound to the masses on the Electronic Dance Music side. Last month Verseless released the fantastic Home EP, which at the end of March earned the top spot as the best Project of the month (Top Tracks and Projects of March). Whilst we are still enjoying the Home Ep Verseless has decided to keep us dancing with a new track. He hinted that he has an album coming later in the year so for someone who is not that much known yet, he definitely has to work very hard and make sure a lot of Zimbos are familiar with him for when the album drops. So how does the new track sound??

Breakfast is on a deep house tip. The keyboard work on the track is exquisite and its the first thing that takes your attention. The track has a nice ambiance, the reverb effect on the keyboard creates a great atmosphere for the track and coupled with some nice percussion's even without the kick, it already sounded awesome. The only downside is the lack of bass!!! The instrumental is great but you will feel that there is something missing and you will get to the end waiting for the bass to kick in and it doesn't. After the track ends you feel a bit robbed..... of the pleasure/utility that a bass line would have given you. The beat leaves you wanting. Love the ending though, the hip hop structured part.

This time Verseless collaborated with Thandie Lin and she was in charge of the vocals. The track is called Flow Into The Music and Thandie Lin was in charge of getting us hooked and enchanted by the track, her duty was to complement the sweet keyboard wavy sound and get us to Flow Into The Music and she nailed her performance. Her vocals are sweet and complement the beat in a lovely lovely way. For some parts she made me forget the track does not have a bass line, she just takes over like that. Awesome.

In overall this is a good song, it made me feel good and that is the track's winning aspect/secret weapon. It a perfect track to start a DJ set, its guaranteed to get people bumping from side to side, and feeling good in anticipation of a good time to follow.

What are your thoughts on the track??
