Track Review : Freeman & Anthony B - Time To Get Rich.

Freeman had a superb 2016, it was probably his best year to date. He had the best album of the year Mangoma Ihobho and he started to perform with a band full time which saw his live performances improve immensely. He definitely was on top of the dancehall circles in 2016 and many waited to see how he was gonna perform this year. He started the year with a banger Gore Rino with gospel artist Mathias Mhere which is getting a lot of love from the masses. Zim Dancehall has already taken the top spot in the music industry and the next move was to go continental and international, which was proving to be quite harder than many thought. Freeman has decided to play his part in moving Zim dancehall to that next elusive step with his new jam where he collaborated with the Someone Loves You hitmaker and Jamaican Icon Anthony B. Have listened to the jam and today will be giving my views and thoughts on the jam.

The track was produced by Dj Fydale and Nhubu Digital and they gave a superb account of themselves. Whenever Freeman links up with Nhubu you know there is going to be magic. The instrumental has a hardcore vibe about it which blends well with the theme of the track. Its arranged quite well, I hear some Buzz Riddim influences all over the instrumental. The overall production is done very well, its sounding good.

The track is inspiring ghetto youths to work hard and give themselves a chance to live the life they want. They are informing them that it is now the Time To Get Rich. Inspiration can never be enough, the youths need continuous inspiration, we must always keep urging them to get up and work for a better future.

Both artists gave superb performances, their styles blended very well. Freeman is already one of the best when it comes to blending with the riddim on the local scene, anogara pariddim and he continued in that form onto this jam. Anthony B is an icon for a reason and he just showed why he is such a celebrated artist. All in all the collaboration works very well.

In overall this is a solid jam. The production is done well, the artists were superb and the theme is on point. I'm loving it. It's definitely going to cause a lot of buzz on the dancehall scene and get quite a lot of airplay, it truly deserves such treatment. The HKD Boss is not showing signs of slowing up anytime soon, will be looking forward to what he has further prepared for us this year.

What are your thoughts on the track??
