Track Review: Toga ft Chioneso - Eddymore

House music is growing at a slow but quite satisfying pace. The quality of house tracks being released on the local scene is just awesome. Guys like, DJ Stavo, Skaiva, Reverb 7 are at the forefront of this movement. The good thing is that a host of other new producers are emerging and this will definitely help push the genre forward. On that note came across this track titled Eddymore and straightaway wanted to share the track with fellow Zimbos.

Toga was in charge of the productions and he did a fantastic job. The instrumental is sounding very good. One can hear the influences of Dj Clock's smash hit Pluto (Remember Me) on this track, especially on the bass guitar. The saxophone work is also done quite brilliantly. Love the instrumental. The overall production is standard. Great work on the production.

The track is about those fathers who always spend money recklessly without giving a thought to the ir families. They spend the money set aside for rent, school fees and other important expenses on beer and partying. Its for those vane shavi reurombe. This is a common occurrence in our different locations and suburbs especially in the ghettos. Most of us have seen wives and husbands fight over money at the shopping centers, areas or residence or even the wife coming to drag the husband from the bar. The act is quite a spectacle and fun to watch but its really not fun to the family that's suffering. Fathers need to be responsible. Powerful.

Chioneso gave a great performance on the vocals. She complemented the awesome instrumental well. The backing vocals were also on point. There was a time when I thought house music doesn't really sound good in shona but songs like this have changed that perception completely. This was my first time getting to hear Chioneso and am already a fan, will be looking forward to other tracks from her or featuring her.

In overall this is a solid and superb track. More ladies will love this track compared to the guys. Such a reaction testifies to the truthfulness of the track to some of the men in Zimbabwe. Production is lovely, vocals are on point, the theme is powerful, fun and on point. Great track.

What are your thoughts on the track??
