Bryan K - Honey on Ice EP Review

Bryan K is among the best vocalists we have in Zimbabwe and over the years has shown he knows how to make good music. He has refused to be put into a box and makes music as he feels like, trying out different genres and arrangements. Despite his experimenting his music always has some soul, that is one thing that I have always admired from the guy, a few artists today make music with a soul, so its quite refreshing having an artists such as Bryan K.

He has now released his first project on 2023 titled Honey On Ice Ep, have been listening to this project for some weeks now and today will be sharing my views and thoughts on the EP.

As usual will be doing a track by track review and then close off with my views and thoughts on the project.

1. Pamela.

This a dedication to Pamela, a girl he is in love with. He is asking for a chance to prove himself to her. The track is well produced, the arrangement is a fusion of Afro beats and Amapiano which is well done. The vocals are also well arranged, love the way he is pronouncing the name Pamela. The acoustic version is beautiful, probably even more than the official audio, it has loads of soul.

2. Kare

On this track Bryan K is saying loved her from way back, you won over my heart from way back. The production is done well, the arrangement is lovely. Bryan K was solid on the vocals.

3. Tsomwa (ft Tanto Wavie)

Bryan K teamed up with the superb Tanto Wavie for this jam. They are saying Love is all around me, in all its various forms. Love is sometimes painful then the next moment its sweet. The production is superbly done, at first I thought Tanto Wavie did the production but was wrong Bryan K was responsible for the production of this track, not many know Bryan K as a producer but he is proving his many talents as he grows in the industry. The arrangement is on point. The two artists delivered solid vocal performances to match.

4. Tere (ft Nutty O)

Bryan K teams up with Nutty O on this lovely jam. This is a track one sings when they are crazy in love with someone, when their body and appearance completes you. The track is well produced. The track is arranged well, the chorus is catchy. The two artists complimented each other well.

5. Tonight

The last track on the project sees Bryan K entering his baby making music mood, he is just sooo smooth and soulful when he enters into such a mood. On the track he is saying I want you tonight, and you can feel the yearning in his voice. Its a track that can help set the mood on that special day. The production is done well, the track is well arranged.

So ya that's it for Honey On Ice EP and I have to say Bryan K continues to delivers good music with soul.

The production is done well, the producers he worked with on this EP all delivered. The arrangements are solid throughout, my favorite one being on the track Tsomwa, I just love what Tanto Wavie is doing right now.

Bryan K is all about Love and this project is all about just that, the title on its own will tell you what to expect. Byran K was also solid on the vocals, in the intro I said he is one of the best vocalists in Zim and he continues to prove why he is regarded as so. The featured artists; Tanto Wavie and Nutty O all brought their top game.

To end this review I have to say this is a good project, Bryan K continues to be one of those artists who delivers projects that you will get crazy in love with despite the mainstream media not making noise about them. This project is among the best projects on 2023 so far , those who will get to listen to it will love it. Bibo continues to be a sort of hidden gem. I recommend this project.

My Overall Rating: 7.7/10
