10 Projects Am Looking Forward To in 2021

So as is now tradition at the beginning of each year I share with you the projects I will be looking forward to the most in that year. This year is no exception and on this article will be sharing with you those projects.

1 Tamy Moyo - Bvudzi Jena The Phase
Tamy has been promising us this project for some time now, last year she blessed us with the beautiful Kuteera feat Jah Prayzah and also featured on a number of solid tracks. Only thing that was missing last year was a long body of work and we'll be getting that this year. She has already solidified her position as the Queen of pop and this album will probably further atest to that. Definitely looking forward to it.

2 Nutty O - Unnamed
Nutty O has a fabulous 2020, he is now coming into his own, everything he is touching is becoming a hit so you can get why this upcoming album is top of my list. Also rumours of big collaborations on the album have been flying all over making me wait for the album way way more.

3 ExQ - Unnamed
Mr Putiti managed to stay relevant despite 2020 being a quiet year as compared to the previous years. The few tracks he dropped and featured on made sure we don't forget he still has the touch. This year we will be getting something from the dude and can't wait for it.

4 Alick Macheso - Unnamed
Ba Sharo sealed the year with the single Zuro Ndizuro and hinted that a full project is on its way. Macheso is a living legend so this project is definitely gonna make noise when it drops, however despite his unquestionable status I will be anxious to see how he is going to fare compared to the new crop of Sungura which is doing some fabulous work.

5 Mokoomba - Unnamed
This album was supposed to drop in 2020 but the pandemic probably put the release plans on hold. These guys are Zim's biggest musical export for a reason, they are amazing!. Have loved their previous two albums and am waiting to see how far they will raise the bar with this upcoming album.

6 Mbeu & The Mhodzi Tribe - The Mhodzi Diaries 2
This outfit has been one of my favourite over the past years, love Mbeu and what he is doing. He told me the Mhodzi Diaries 2 is coming soon and can't wait, it seems Mbeu is growing with each release and given how good he already is one gets to wonder how much better will he get.

7 Joyfull Praise Choir - Unnamed
Was impressed with this choral group from the start, they quickly rose to become my favourite choral group on the local front. Loved their creativity and originality. Their last dvd recording was quite successful and earned them many fans, now many are waiting to see how the group is going to develop further, how far are they going to push their creativity. They have been throwing hints of a new project in the works and I believe its gonna drop this year.

8 Winky D - Unnamed
Winky had a contrasting 2020, he released Njema right at the beginning of the year, it got many excited but failed to run the course of the year as I mentioned in my review. Now as I recommended he also had to release another project to end the year on a high. The contrasting nature comes in the sense that on Njema he was pushing for his new sound, a mature sound to match his stature an  as we found out it's not there yet, on Ragga Musambo trilogy he reverted back to his playful old self and as of now the single Reply has been more successful as compared to any track on Njema. Which sound will he continue with on his next project, or maybe he will do both??!! Definitely want to see how he is going to move forward.

9 Holy Ten - Unnamed
Holy Ten was the revelation of 2020, he introduced a new sound to the hip hop genre and got many excited about the genre. Hip hop finally started to make sense again in the capital, Bulawayo was dominating the genre unmatched and Ten is now challenging that. He has stated on his Twitter account that he is working on a project that is coming soon, definitely waiting for it.

10 Asaph - Kingsvilla 3.
Asaph has been on roll these past years, he has ensured Hip Hop stays alive. And finally he is getting the recognition he deserves. On  the awesome People's Rapper he hinted Kingsvilla 3 is in the works and can't wait for it, given the momentum he currently has a fire projects is definitely required so am crossing my fingers we get the project this year, even if ts not Kingsvilla it will do.

Asaph

So ya those are the 10 projects I am waiting for the most this year. Am not closing myself to these ten only but very much looking forward to others I have not mentioned here.

What projects are you waiting for the most this year??
