Track Review : Janet Manyowa - Tomutenda Nei?

It's no secret that I have been a huge fan of Janet Manyowa since she released her debut album King Of Glory (King Of Glory Album Review). She is my favourite Gospel, nope Female artist in the country right now and it has been so for the past 3 years. She is leading the new gospel sound and evolution, last year she dominated the charts with just one single; Zadzisa. Hope this year she will release more tracks, an Album or even just a 3-4 track Ep, I need more of such uplifting and well crafted music.

She has been promoting this new single on her social media accounts for some time now and she made sure all her fans knew she was brewing something. This track has finally dropped and like many was already counting down the days to the release date. Failed to attend the show, because of some commitments but really wanted to see her perform live, will be there on her next show.

On this new track Janet Manyowa switched to a more uptempo rhythm which will will get people dancing and praising. The only other time Janet  delivered an uptempo song was on the song Tarisa and this track inherits a  sort of similar feel. For some they have sort of come to expect slower tempo worship tracks from Janet so it won't be surprising to find some complaining about this track. Personally I don't mind, love worship music more but a number of times a good praise track is always welcome and this is one such lovely praise jam, i'm impressed.

The production is done very well, Janet's productions are always well structured and this one does not disappoint. The track is structured well, love the guitar work throughout the track and the drum-work is also done very well. The overall arrangement of the track is done superbly well, it's modern and shows why Janet is among the leaders of the new gospel sound.

On this track Janet is saying how can we thank this Lord who has done amazing things for us. Its a track one sings when you cannot contain the blessings the Lord has showered unto you, when you fail to find the words or actions that you can do to show you gratitude unto the Lord.

The vocal performance is on point, Janet Manyowa has been blessed with some lovely powerful vocals and she showcases them throughout the track. Love the vocal structure and arrangement, she did a solid job in  bringing out the bubbling Joy that one will have when they sing such a song.

In overall this is very lovely jam, am loving it quite a lot. The production is done well, the theme is on point, the vocals are lovely, there is nothing to hate about the song.  My hope is that Janet gives us more songs this year, one song is not enough.

What are your thoughts on the single???
