Track Review: Shiddoh Brown feat Take Fizzo - PaGhetto
So first came across this song a couple of weeks ago then I got busy and forgot to do a review of the track, so a couple of days back a fellow arts promoter asked if I could write a review so ya here were are today. Have been following Take Fizzo's comeback for some time now and love what he is doing for Zim Hop, adding another dimension to the sound. It's always awesome when a producer decides to branch from the popular generic production formats to give fans a different and refreshing sound. So after a couple of listens will be sharing my views and thoughts on this new Shiddoh Brown single.
The track was produced by Take Fizzo and he did a good job, the instrumental is structured well and is sounding good. The beat is chilled which creates a perfect platform for the vocals to take center stage. Overall production is done well, good job by Take Fizzo.
This track is a ghetto love story, Shiddoh has fallen for a ghetto chic and is flexing his lines, praising the lady whilst assuring her that he will take good care of her.
Shiddoh gave a commendable vocal performance on the track, he implements a chilled laid back, lazy kind of rapping that is similar to Tulk Munny and Gze. Despite that he delivered some good bars. The chorus is quite catchy and easy to comprehend.
In overall this is a nice jam, it has this feel good vibe about it which makes it quite a joy to listen to. Its a track one jams to whilst chilling or doing that Sunday afternoon drive with the boys. Shiddoh is on the right track but will definitely face some competition from similar artists such as Gze and Tulk Munny who have a similar sound to him. The similarity is probably due to Take Fizzo, he is the producer for all those artists, I urge that more work be put in to differentiate these artists or that will in the end be a disadvantage for one artist at the expense of another.
What are your thoughts on the track???
