Track Review: Reverb 7 & Jazz Prosper - Kabhebhi Bho
Reverb 7 is steadily making a name for himself as the finest house (deep) house producer and deejay in the country. His 2016 production Heavy Machine was arguably one of the best local house tracks last year and now he is back with another new jam. To fill up the gaps between tracks he has been releasing his Welcome To Afro House mixes which are gaining traction among many house loving Zimbos all over. His last mix the Vol 3 is currently my favourite, have played it a load of times and all my friends asked for that mix. Since my first listen of the Vol 3 mix I was always curious as to the name & producer of the intro track and have been searching for it since then. Imagine how glad I was when I realized that the new Reverb track I just downloaded was the track I was looking for these past weeks. Have now managed to listen to the track for a couple of days and I'm now ready to share my views and thoughts on the track.
Reverb 7 and Youngnash were behind the production and they did a great job. The instrumental is standard, it's arranged well and the decision to lace the track with some lovely guitar work was a good one. Love the guitar work by Sylent Nqo. Good work on the production by the fellas.
The track is for that awesome lady, kaBebhi Bho kanokuita zvinogara zvakadaro. That lady who mesmerizes and hypnotizes you, the lady who has all the attributes you love on your lady. Lovely.
Jazz Prosper was in charge of the vocals and he did quite a good job. He added this sort of Naija style to his singing and it works, it gives the track this afro beat house fusion kind of feel which is quite popular these days. The chorus borrows from a popular classic South African song and that will help endear the track with many house fans.
In overall this is lovely jam, it's well made and structured. Its one of those tracks you can listen to over and over again. Loved the collaboration between the producers and hope we'll get more track from them.
