Tembalami feat Evelyn Wanjiru - Sawa (Alright)

Tembalami is one of the finest gospel artists in the country. He has been pushing this modern uplifting gospel sound for years now, he is one of those guys who always wear a smile whenever you meet them or see him on a music video and his tracks such as LOVE, Hande, Bayete, Sekerera will all testify to that. Tembalami has also invested heaving in creating a very respectable image which is now helping him to reach beyond the national borders. After some months of teasing us he has finally released an new track and it features Kenyan singer Evelyn Wanjiru. The track also dropped with the visuals and I just thought of sharing my views and thoughts on the track.

When two African artists meet up one expects to hear some lovely afro music and that's exactly what you get on this song. The instrumental is unmistakably African, its arranged very well and is sounding very lovely. The track has that Rhumba feel that many praise music fans love very much and it will definitely get you dancing. The production is done very well, great work by Bwenieve and MacDee on the production.

On this track Tembalami and Evelyn are reminding someone that when you have accepted Jesus as your personal Lord and Saviour, when you have opened your heart to him everything will be Sawa (Alright). The bible in Ecclesiastes 3:11 says: "He Has made everything beautiful in its time...".

The two artists delivered good performances throughout the song. The collaboration works, their voices complement each other quite well. Love how they sang in each other's language, Tembalami singing in Swahili and Evelyn singing in Shona.

The visuals are clean and well made. They made good use of contrasting colours throughout  the song which makes the visuals quite entertaining to watch and it also helps bring out the beauty of the African attires that are worn in the video. It's always my pleasure watching a video which is unapologetic-ally African, it feel me with so much pride. The costume designer did a very good job and the attires in this video will definitely be a template for many who are looking for new designs.

In conclusion this is very lovely and uplifting jam, the production is done very well, the lyrics are on point, the performances are well done and has fitting visuals to go with it, I'm loving the jam. Hope we get more beautiful jams such as this from Tembalami.

What are your thoughts on the track and visuals???
