Gaining global success and acknowledgement has been a goal for many local artists over the years, leaving an imprint on the global scale, showing the entire world that Zimbabwe is also a creative hub. After years of various artists pushing our sound, touring across the world showcasing their talents it has finally bore fruit. Chimurenga Music has gained international recognition, this has been signaled by its addition to the music genres considered for one to win a Grammy under the Best African Music Performance. If you ask many to pick their top artist and band among the new crop of Sungura guys, Simon Mutambi will be top of the list for many. Simomo or Mr Personari as he is affectionately known has over the years shown he has what it takes to keep the genre going strong. He has been a top performer in the charts, a constant in playlists in various beerhalls, outdoor spots & bars. This album represents a meeting of two giants in the creative space of Zimbabwe. Chirikure Chirikure a renowned award winning poet, writer and Chiwoniso Maraire a legendary artist who singlehandedly made Mbira desirable to may young women all over the nation. When such big names meet expectations are bound to be high.  This album came as surprise to many given Chiwoniso Maraire passed away in 2013, this is not a project many even knew existed.
